The Nation: Thai Authorities Promise Up to 80% Winter Discounts for Tourists

Thai authorities have promised tourists, including Russians, discounts of up to 80% on services during the winter season. This travel advisory was reported by the local publication, The Nation.
According to the source, Thailand's Tourism Authority (TAT) has launched a program to attract tourists and foreigners residing in Thailand. They are ready to offer discounts on various services, such as spa treatments, workshops, and Thai cuisine restaurants.
The initiative will be in effect at the popular Asian resort until the end of February 2024. The authorities aim to increase tourism sector revenues to three trillion baht (approximately 85.5 billion rubles).
Earlier, Thailand extended the visa-free regime for Russian tourists from 30 to 90 days. Until April 30, 2024, Russian passports of visitors arriving in the country without a visa will be stamped for a three-month stay.
