McGregor Names Phenomenal Fighter from Russia
Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor commented on Russian Petr Yan. His words were reported by "Soviet Sport."
The athlete referred to Yan as a phenomenal fighter from Russia. "I'm confident he'll reclaim his championship belt," McGregor stated.
Yan is a former UFC bantamweight champion. His last UFC fight was in March this year at UFC Fight Night 221, where he lost to Georgian Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision of the judges. In his two previous fights, he lost by split decision to Americans Sean O'Malley and Aljamain Sterling. Yan has a total of 17 wins and five losses in MMA fights.
McGregor is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion. The Irishman's last fight was in July 2021 against American Dustin Poirier, during which he suffered a leg fracture and has been recovering since. He has a total of 22 victories and six defeats.
