The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being studied by Russian experts with the help of engineers and electronic warfare (EW) means. This information was provided to RIA Novosti by a representative of the Russian Armed Forces' special unit for drone operations.
"Thanks to the work of EW and engineers, we have the opportunity to study the UAVs that the enemy uses in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Thus, we control the emergence of new UAV models and have the opportunity to quickly build a counteraction system," the source said.
Earlier, the honored military pilot of Russia, retired Major General Vladimir Popov, in an interview with Sputnik agency, mentioned that the Russian UAVs "Geran" were fitted with jet engines, significantly enhancing their effectiveness.
Also, in December, the "Kalashnikov" concern reported the start of production of mobile control points for complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles.
