State Duma Begins Preparing a Bill to Ban the Propaganda of Childfree Lifestyle

The inter-factional group of the State Duma on the protection of traditional values is preparing a bill to ban the propaganda of the childfree lifestyle. This was stated by Deputy Irina Filatova in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to her, on December 11, the bill was discussed at hearings in the Public Chamber, where it was supported. In addition, the initiative was approved by several federal agencies.

Filatova emphasized that the bill will not affect the personal beliefs of citizens. "We are talking exclusively about destructive propaganda in the information space," she assured.

Earlier, State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov called for the recognition of the childfree movement as extremist, as it promotes the refusal of children. "This is an entirely unnatural position of potential homosexuals, liberals, and vegans," the parliamentarian believes.
