Russian Navy to Receive Ten Frigates of Project 22350 Equipped with 'Zircon' Missiles

The Russian Navy (VMF) will receive a series of ten Project 22350 frigates, armed with hypersonic 'Zircon' missiles. This information was reported by TASS, citing the fleet commander, Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov.

"The next [frigates in] the series are being ramped up faster; when we have ten, then we can say that such [experience has been] gained. We will continue to be on duty," said the fleet commander.

In November, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, during a departmental meeting, stated that by the end of 2023, the number of high-precision weapon carriers in the Russian Navy will exceed 40 units.

The 'Admiral Golovko', undergoing state trials, is the third frigate of Project 22350. Ships of the project are equipped with universal 3S14 installations for 'Kalibr', 'Oniks', or 'Zircon' missiles.
