International Olympic Committee (IOC) allows Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games. This was reported in a press release on the organization's website.
Athletes will be able to participate in the tournament as Individual Neutral Athletes (INA). It is noted that currently, only eight Russian and three Belarusian athletes have qualified. These countries will not be represented in team sports.
Additionally, athletes who support the special operation in Ukraine will not be allowed to compete in the tournament. Athletes with ties to the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus will also be unable to participate.
At the end of February 2022, most sports organizations suspended the national teams of Russia and Belarus following the IOC's recommendation.
