Tennis player Daniil Medvedev has topped the Forbes personal brand ranking among Russian athletes. The list of sports figures is presented on the publication's website.
Figure skater Alexandra Trusova, the 2022 Olympic vice-champion, ranked second in personal brand value. Russian forward and captain of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), Alexander Ovechkin, closed out the top three.
It is noted that the ranking includes only active athletes. In addition, those who changed their sports nationality before September 1, 2023, were not added to the list.
Ovechkin also leads the Forbes ranking among the highest-paid NHL players. According to the publication, Ovechkin earned a total of 17.5 million dollars in the 2022/2023 season, excluding taxes and agent fees.
