Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan positively assessed the dialogue with the European Union (EU) on security during a meeting with Vasilis Maragos, the head of the EU's diplomatic mission in Armenia. A statement on the outcomes of the meeting was published by the ministry's press service.

Mirzoyan and Maragos reviewed the outcomes of recent meetings between the Armenian leadership and European officials, expressing satisfaction with the active dialogue in the fields of politics and security. The diplomats also touched on the conflict resolution process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly the joint statement of the offices of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan.

The parties also discussed the progress of reforms in Armenia and their support by the EU. The diplomats emphasized the importance of initiating a dialogue on visa liberalization between Armenia and the European Union.

Previously, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with ambassadors of the European Union. The sides discussed issues of regional security and the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
