The Russian Education Supervision Service and the Ministry of Education are considering the introduction of Arabic language lessons in schools and have started to study their necessity. This was stated by the head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, Anzor Muzaev, reports TASS.

"We have already launched a monitoring process with the Ministry of Education to assess the demand for the language - in which regions, in which schools there is a request for Arabic, and in which higher education institutions Arabic language teachers are already being prepared," he said.

Muzaev added that the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed readiness to assist in integrating Arabic into Russian education. He also emphasized that the Russian Education Supervision Service had already received corresponding requests from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims.
