Dates Set for Russia's First-Ever Multi-Day Presidential Elections
Russia's Central Election Commission Approves Three-Day Presidential Elections from March 15 to 17, 2024

Russia's first-ever multi-day presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17. The voting dates were approved by the Central Election Commission (CEC), as reported on the body's Telegram channel.
CEC Chair Ella Pamfilova emphasized that the three-day voting process has become traditional for the Russian electoral system. "It was first applied during the pandemic to ensure the safety of voters, but over time, this format has been favored by the majority of voters due to its other advantages," she stated.
According to Pamfilova, based on data from the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), 74 percent of Russians recognize the convenience of the three-day voting process.
