Airlock Chamber of "Nauka" Module Integrated into Russian Segment of ISS

The airlock chamber of the multipurpose laboratory module (MLM) "Nauka" has been fully integrated into the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced by the commander of the cosmonaut squad of the state corporation "Roscosmos" and TASS special correspondent on the ISS, Oleg Kononenko.
It is noted that the work was carried out on the 25th anniversary of the launch of the functional cargo block "Zarya," which was the first module of the ISS.
"The 25th anniversary of the launch was marked by the final adaptation of the airlock chamber into the Russian segment of the ISS. Today, for this purpose, I performed the following tasks: I completed the final check of the airlock chamber's airtightness, then opened the hatch, installed ventilation, and removed all the mechanisms and devices that were needed for docking the airlock chamber with the MLM," said Kononenko.
Earlier in November, it was reported that repair work on the Russian segment of the ISS occupies up to 50 percent of the astronauts' productive time.
