Russian Medics Forced to Resign After Complaining About Lack of Hot Water
Sebezh Medics Complain of Long-Term Absence of Hot Water in Hospital

In Sebezh, Pskov region, medical staff were forced to resign after complaining about the absence of hot water in the hospital for many years. This news was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.
In 2019, 2.5 million rubles were spent on the renovation of the hospital building. However, the hospital continued to face issues - the ceiling was leaking, tiles were detaching from the walls, and there was no hot water. Surgeons had to use cold tap water instead of warm during operations.
A nurse appealed to the prosecutor's office. After an inspection, the supervisory authority found the hospital's condition to be within the norms. Subsequently, the woman decided to resign, unable to withstand pressure from the institution's management. Several other medics resigned alongside her.
The nurse decided to sue the chief physician, after which the hospital wing was closed. However, the patients who were transferred to another building are now in even worse conditions: the wing lacks both hot and drinking water.
At present, activists from the "People's Front" have sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office requesting an investigation into the dismissal of the medics and the hospital's repairs.
