Russians Violate Another Country's Border and Fined 900,000 Rubles
"Moskovskiy Komsomolets": Russian Tourists Cross Kazakh Border and Caught by Customs

A group of Russian tourists violated the border of another country during a mountain ascent and were fined 900,000 rubles, reports "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" (MK).
It's specified that the Russians were climbing East Belukha and ended up in Kazakhstan. The travelers were apprehended by the customs officers of the neighboring country. The fine was paid by a tour company from Ust-Koksa district, which had organized the expedition.
This company had previously breached the country's borders in 2021 and was fined 800,000 rubles. At that time, tourists followed the same route to Belukha, considered the most convenient among guides.
Earlier, 38-year-old Russian mountaineer Nadezhda Oleneva fell into a crevasse and disappeared during an ascent of the eight-thousander Dhaulagiri in Nepal. She was climbing with two other Russians – Roman Abildaev and Rad Kashapov.
